A Reflection on Offense and Grace

A Reflection on Offense and Grace

Friends,

If you’ve been following the news over the past couple of weeks, you’ve likely seen reports about the growing conflict in the Middle East. Behind the scenes, we’ve been quietly praying - both for the people and families affected by the suffering there, and also for wisdom as the situation has begun to affect us in a practical way.

As a small team working with partners around the world, some of our shipments pass through regions that have now been disrupted. Because of airspace closures and shipping interruptions earlier this month, several shipments from our partner manufacturer have been delayed.

These shipments were meant to support our mid-March restock, several ongoing projects, and upcoming ministry events we’ve been preparing for.

At the moment, even our shipping agents don’t yet know when some of these routes will fully reopen, so we’re navigating the situation day by day and monitoring developments closely.

And in the middle of all of this, God has been reminding us of something deeper... how easily disappointment can turn into offense if we’re not careful with our hearts.

It’s a quiet temptation. When plans fall apart or expectations aren’t met, frustration can slowly creep in. But Scripture reminds us that offense often becomes a stumbling block not because of what happens to us, but because of what we choose to carry afterward.

Honestly, this could have easily been one of those moments.

But instead of frustration, what we experienced from many of you was something completely different: grace.

  • Grace from partners who understood the delays.
  • Grace from friends who encouraged us instead of pressuring us.
  • Grace that reminded us we are all part of something bigger than timelines and shipments.

That response means more to us than you probably realize.

It reminds us that what we are building together is not just merchandise, projects, or events. It’s a community rooted in faith, trust, and shared mission.

We are continuing to work closely with our partners and shipping agents to find the best routes forward, and we’ll keep everyone updated as things develop.

In the meantime, thank you for your patience, your prayers, and for walking this journey with us. Your support truly means the world to us.

In the end, delays may slow shipments, but they don’t slow the mission God has placed in our hearts. Thank you for walking this journey with us - your patience, prayers, and encouragement mean more than you know.

Grace and peace,
Ade + Marc
